I picked up three "No Fear Shakespeare" books at a sale last Saturday [do not ask me why I bought them because I already own copies of the original plays] - King Lear, Hamlet, and As You Like It, all of which are very good plays.
In "No Fear Shakespeare" - a SparkNotes publication, by the way - what you've got is a page of the original text and then on the page opposite it you've got the "Modern English" translation. So if you hear highly undignified snorts and unbridled laughter coming from my corner, it's because I'm reading "No Fear Shakespeare". Like I said, it loses that spark when 'translated' into modern English.
And that's really all I have to say for right now.
I'm off to write various things and scour the internet for new and interesting vegetarian recipes while waiting impatiently for Saturday.
